Layout

The arena is designed to immediately signal a sense of grandeur and danger, with a towering eagle statue and a sealed gate welcoming players into a sacred battleground. A peaceful fountain space creates a calm, oasis-like contrast that heightens the tension before the encounter begins. The layout remains open-ended, allowing players to choose paths, reposition, and strategize. Breakable pillars provide temporary cover, making the space itself a dynamic part of the fight.

Trees

I focused a lot on the trees, conducting a detailed tree study to tackle challenges with foliage density, polycount, and textures. The pine trees were designed to fit seamlessly into the scene, adding to the overall atmosphere. For the lighting, I went with a warm, soft glow to highlight the pyramid and rock formations, contrasting against the cooler shadows in the forest. The beam of light emerging from the pyramid helps guide the viewer’s attention, giving the scene a mystical touch, while the mist adds depth and scale to the composition.
